Towne Twin Village
Towne Twin Village is a permanent supportive housing community in San Antonio, rooted in Housing First principles, that offers more than 200 homes—including tiny homes, RVs, and apartments—with on-site wraparound services to help chronically homeless seniors regain stability and dignity.

Towne Twin Village is a pioneering permanent supportive housing community in San Antonio, designed to serve seniors (55+) experiencing chronic homelessness. Located on the former Towne Twin Drive-In site, construction began in May 2021 and the first residents moved in during 2023.

Spanning approximately 17 acres, the development ultimately includes around 204 housing units—including tiny homes, RV spaces, and apartments—as well as a suite of shared amenities such as a chapel, multipurpose complex, community center, kitchen, healthcare clinic, chapel, and more. The total cost for the campus is near $41 million, funded through private donations, the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and voter-approved Affordable Housing Bond funds.

Phase 1 (summer 2021–2023) included essential infrastructure, 36 tiny homes, 24 RV units, and the chapel/multipurpose complex. Phase 2, completed in April 2025, added 41 tiny homes—supported by $9.9 million from the 2022‑2027 Affordable Housing Bond—and made Towne Twin Village the first PSH project fully funded by that bond. When fully built out, the community will offer 204 units, including apartments beyond the tiny homes and RVs.
