Just Help one

Just Help One is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by “Disaster Pastor” Scott Shipman, dedicated to mobilizing volunteers and resources to deliver immediate relief and rebuild lives in communities devastated by hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and other catastrophes through their Pillars of Hope initiative. Regarding disaster response and relief, Just Help One is our chosen partner.

Just Help One operates on the biblical truth that “Many hands make light work” (Nehemiah 3), showing that great restoration happens when God’s people join together to serve. Their mission reflects Romans 12:1, calling believers to see their very lives as “a living sacrifice” and a mobile worship service—bringing faith, hope, and love wherever they go. Inspired by Isaiah 6:8, volunteers respond to the Lord’s call with, “Here am I! Send me,” heading into disaster zones with open hands and willing hearts.

When hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, earthquakes, or floods strike, Just Help One aims to arrive within 12–48 hours, initiating three essential phases: cleanup, restoring order to chaos; recovery, helping survivors regain what was lost; and rebuilding, creating spaces and lives made whole again. This work is never just physical—it’s also deeply personal and spiritual. Volunteers are trained not only in search and rescue, damage assessment, and practical repair skills, but also in offering chaplaincy care to address emotional wounds and point survivors toward the hope found in Jesus.

Through ongoing trips and long-term presence, Just Help One remains committed to communities long after the headlines fade. Every act of service is given freely in Jesus’ name, a living testimony that God’s people are called to be prepared, to step in when the need is greatest, and to help rewrite the stories of those walking through some of life’s darkest days.
