Mercy Gate Ministries
Mercy Gate Ministries is a Kerr County faith-based nonprofit dedicated to bringing the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ to survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Their mission is to “break the bonds of captivity, impart power over victimization, and provide relational advocacy” to help survivors of sexual trauma transition into healthy, contributing members of society through residential and non-residential programs, education, outreach, and advocacy.
Rooted in compassion and driven by faith, Mercy Gate Ministries operationalizes their mission through a comprehensive framework that moves survivors from crisis toward wholeness. The journey begins with Recover, where outreach and community collaboration identify and bring survivors into care. From there, Restore offers “The Journey”—a holistic, 12-month faith-based program through which survivors engage in tailored healing. This includes spiritual formation, emotional support, counseling, life-skills classes, art and equine therapy, and both residential and non-residential pathways for restoration.

Building deeper community and inner peace, Reconcile focuses on mending fractured relationships—bringing healing not only to the individual but intentionally extending toward family reunification and long-term reconciliation. Finally, Release embodies the ministry’s vision of complete freedom: survivors emerge empowered, restored, and “full of love, joy, forgiveness,” equipped to live as God created them to be.

To further support survivors in transitional independence, Mercy Gate recently established Arukah Home—a purpose-built, 4,100-square-foot transitional residence with five bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths. Completed in November 2024 on property acquired in early 2024, Arukah Home provides a safe, supportive stepping stone for survivors as they move toward full independence in a nurturing environment.

Through these interconnected pillars—Recover, Restore, Reconcile, and Release—Mercy Gate Ministries lives out their mission by walking survivors through every step of the healing journey: from rescue and restoration to reconciled relationships and liberated living, all grounded in the affirming love of Christ.
